01 The Striver
You have kept performing through work, family responsibilities or constant demands. Vacations and wellness days have offered temporary relief without addressing the exhaustion underneath.
The seven archetypes
Selfternity™ Leave is intended for moments when someone’s capacity has been seriously reduced and ordinary functioning, reflection or decision-making may feel overwhelming.
These seven archetypes describe patterns that may help someone recognise what they are carrying. They are reference patterns, not diagnoses. You may recognise yourself in more than one, and your circumstances may change over time.
You have kept performing through work, family responsibilities or constant demands. Vacations and wellness days have offered temporary relief without addressing the exhaustion underneath.
Something feels off, yet the direction forward is difficult to see. Work, relationships or daily life may feel disconnected from meaning, interest or the person you remember being.
A loss, career change, divorce, new child, health scare or other major transition has altered the life you knew. You need time away from immediate demands to understand what has changed before deciding what comes next.
Professional commitments, family responsibilities and financial pressure make stepping away feel impossible. Short breaks have not been enough to recover or recalibrate.
Your own depletion sits beside the responsibility of supporting other people. Debt, living costs or unstable income can make time away feel financially dangerous.
You know something needs attention, but the volume of advice feels overwhelming or disconnected from your circumstances. You want a clear starting point that accounts for your circumstances without someone prescribing what your life should become.
You have learned to power through and appear as though everything is under control. The fear of looking weak may keep you silent even when functioning has become harder.
